Proof: because someone has said that…

Well, we keep receiving such forecasts (with concrete numbers!) from various media people and experts. Should we rely on their opinions while working on the investment strategy? 

Okay, let’s imagine that you have a couple of thousands of bitcoins. 

You also understand that you can influence the price of bitcoin simply by some sort of information. But basically, very often exchange rates are formed exactly this way – when people are anticipating something.

For example, if you convince everyone around that bitcoin tomorrow will be at 50% more expensive, everyone will start buying it, in any quantities. This will definitely lead to an appreciation. And it can really turn out to be 50% more expensive.

So, if you have several thousands of bitcoins or even more…

…you will certainly, by all means, advocate for high prices. This is profitable, isn’t it?

Besides, such wow-statements will definitely fly around in media and people will be willingly discussing them.

People like forecasts! Very much!

And if they are not realized, it doesn’t matter. Anyway afterward nobody will recall them.

IMPORTANT: The prediction about the bitcoin’s price at the beginning of this post was a joke!  Please, don’t take it seriously.

So, should we regard public forecasts of the bitcoin's specific price as a reliable source? Rather not.

It doesn’t mean that bitcoin is not going to grow. But it is unlikely that someone will identify a precise price.

Personally, we believe that bitcoin will be growing. Maybe not rapidly and not without fluctuations, but there are a number of premises…But let’s leave it for the next time ;)
